I must be on a swedish kick today! check out this lovely new home collection by bantie. they just released 6 new patterns in 17 color combinations, of course these are only a few but i just love the slight pop of color on such bold patterns. more here and here.

I {heart} ISAK

I saw this gorgeous cup with oak lid on not cot this morning and started drooling all over my desk! lol this beaut is made by Scandinavian designer/illustrator Sandra Isaksson for ISAK. i love how simple design excites me so much, this will be a great day for creative journey's!

new take on Rorschach

I remember when i was little i used to play this game with my dad where he would draw a simple shape on a piece of paper and i had take that shape and illustrate something with it. i guess you could say it was almost a watered down version of the rorschach test. When i saw these beautifully stated illustrations by L. Filipe dos Santos, it totally brought me back to that time in my life where i think now it really was a great thing to be doing to keep my young mind sharp. absence

hi friends,
my absence this week from the blog is a mixture of things, some of you may already know but i had to loose a family member at the beginning of the week. my childhood dog zeus, whom i raised and loved so much, unexpectedly became ill and passed. he lived a long life of 13 years and was the best mate anyone could of ever hoped to have. we just lost his brother less then a year ago but now it's nice to know that they are both back together in puppy heaven causing a ruckus!

about a day after zeus passed i became ill with a virus which really sucks to have when your pregnant. so it's pretty much been meds + bed + water for about a week. today i'm finally feeling like it's all passing so i just wanted to let you know that things are okay and that i will be back to my regular posting come monday.....HAPPY things at that! for now it's back to my bed. ta ta

28 weeks and counting!

So today i'm celebrating the beginning of my third and final trimester! it feels like it went by faster then i imagined. because i'm not so big yet, i kind of feel like i'm way behind...i'll have to take another belly picture so you can decide. anywho in celebration of my big day, i've decided to post a few favorites i've been bookmarking on etsy lately. I've never really noticed how much cute stuff is out there for baby's these days and now i really have a chance to dive in.

I've seen these before online in various places and i'm sure you have too but i just couldn't stand to not post them cause they are just sooo darn cute! I'm doing the baby's room in a quite woodland theme and these little squirrel vases would be such a cute addition...until of course she gets big enough to touch and break them so maybe i'll just use them as inspiration! check out more awsome ceramics at the pretty random objects shop.

these necklaces from shu shop are such a nice inspiration for spring. it's about that time where we are all sick of being curled up inside under the covers and watching reruns of our favorite tv shows. i thought i'd start my day off by showing something i think relates to that feeling of freedom when the warmth of spring touches our souls! each necklace is hand embroidered and delicately detailed...could be a lovely thing to get your loved one for v-day as well!

It's the feature film debut of Faythe Levine, co-owner of Paper Boat Boutique & Gallery in Bay View and organizer of the yearly indie craft fair Art vs. Craft. Faythe Levine traveled to 15 cities and covered more than 19,000 miles to interview subjects of the film. A book by the same title, written with Cortney Heimerl, was published in October by Princeton Architectural Press.
