being ill

so sorry but i may be a bit more away this week. i've been feeling quite ill since last thursday. it's not a common bug but something that i have life long that i have to adjust some medication on and waiting for my body to adjust to it. i posted this to show that we all have little health quirks now and then but it doesn't mean we have to stop gaining inspiration...so since i'm a bit lax, i decided to grab my camera and find the creative in my recovery. hope you enjoy.

handmade::modern is an ongoing passion of mine and product designer stanley ruiz fits that to a "T". stanley's work thrives on the fusion of craft and industry. if you are headed out to the events at the jacob javits center (NYC) this weekend, you can find him debuting some new pieces (including these lovlies) at ICFF. unfortunately i had to sacrifice going this year due to being a new home owner but i will be there in spirit!

hi all, i hate ruining a "grand reveal" but since i am no where near a decent web designer, i thought i would call out to my peeps to let me know if everything seems alright on your end of things with my new and (kind of ) improved site for fb press.

i did trick you though, all the images are not the most recent yet so that will at least be a surprise. if you could just comment and let me know if all the navigation is okay or if what you see is a big mess! lol

monday jump start

I have alot to catch up on and submissions to go through, I love monday mornings for checking my email, (it's like christmas to me) because i have this self imposed rule of not checking my email on the weekends, we all need that sacred time and i feel like thats what weekends are for, if i didn't do that for myself then i would definitely turn into a work-a-holic and that just means more stress that i don't need. everyone should have a sacred time even if it's just a few hours a day...we are only human, right!

back in the saddle

finally, even though the studio is not quite up to par (waiting on some shelving organization) i thought it was time to jump back into the game and let me creative juices flow again. It is quite tuff when you've been completely stressed out and focused on other issues in life for some time and not at all creating during it all.
I'm just dying to start new things but hesitant because there is always that "where to start" point and I think i'm still contemplating that. non the less i have some great things in the works, nothing i can tell you about right now, but soon...i promise. in the meantime, i think i'll look to my trusty puppy-kitty for some ever glowing inspiration! more pics here.
