little things that bling...
I get really happy when someone takes an ordinary thing and turns it into "bling"...Take these clothes pins for instance, they were just regular old wooden pins until Natalie over at olive manna hand dyed them these fabulous colors! not only could you use them to hang your undies in style, but even better, it gives them a voice to be more multi functional somewhere else like maybe for your mood board in the studio or even using them in your booth at renegade this year... the possibilities are endless (and totally green!)

lisa congdon :: birch trees

I received a lovely email from the candy store collective and these gorgeous birch tree paintings on wood canvas by lisa congdon were calling to me. The bright colors capture such a great aliveness (is that a word?) and makes it so refreshing to see nature depicted in a happy, cheery way....seen as it's EARTH DAY!
Go do something outside today, plant a tree, flower, walk your dog and enjoy what mother nature has given to us...we should do this everyday but as most of us know, time doesn't permit most of us to do so but today is special so try and celebrate the day!

The Wooden Hanger Pals
I just caught this image on flickr and just had to post about it. These little hanger pals made by Sarah Neuberger of The Small Object are just so clever. How inspiring to be able to go in your closet to pick an outfit and have a cute lil' smiling face waiting there to brighten your morning! love it!
you can find the hangers here in both adult and kid sizes.
