lorena barrezueta holiday

I couldn't help but to post these fantastic disposable tin food (tree and star) containers in fine porcelain from lorena barrezueta. The tree measures 8"x10"x1.5".

There will only be 25 trees made (including white trees with gold rim) for the 2007 holiday season so hurry on over. these are fabulous gifts for the cook who has everything.

My plates are on their way to be made and paper is on order. This year my husband and I are going for a more minimal :: Scandinavian look for our holiday cards. They will be my first letterpressing endeavor so wish me luck...i'll post more as the production incurs sometime next week ...notice the theme of "2 turtle doves", this will re-appear in my ornaments this year as well. (not sure if I will have time to make extra to sell, if time permits) This years swap caused a few unexpected issues (thanks to yahoo mail) so I'm behind schedual, I hope I can get back on track this weekend after I've filled myself to the brim with wonderful food!

Today i became super giddy when i found my journals adorning Treehuggers 2007 Holiday Gift Guide. what an honer and i just love the catagorie they put me in...I'm a green thumb too!

winter paper picks

2008 calendars are out in full force and I'm having so much trouble deciding on which to adorn my office and home, especially when they look as good as this one by SusyJack*. I think I'm becoming obsessed with her pattern work. The calendar is not quite available yet, but you can read all about Susy's progress with it on her blog.

Another way to go is more of a desk calendar like this great hand printed one by Paper Blue Bird. Her illustrations are very lovely. To view the rest of the months check out her etsy site.

Did you ever have those tin tea light candle holders that spun when lit for the holidays? we did, and it was the first thing I would ask my mom to set up when getting the holiday decorations out. I nearly fell out of my chair when I saw these modern ones from Swedish home design company, Plutoprodukter. I have not seen these since i was small, i'll definately be looking into these ones more!

Hi i'm back with regular posting goodness. i almost went stur-crazy last week, i almost posted twice but held off for the swappers.
so aside from getting my next line of books out before december holiday shopping hits (ahhh!), I've been obsessing over all the great holiday papergoods...i get a bit paper crazy during this time of the year! so in honour of this crazyness, i'll be doing more posts on great holiday papergoods for the season...and what great way to start it off with our friends at egg press.

not only do they have some fantastic retro style cards this year, but they also launched a line of "sew-it-yourself" stitch kits, they are just too terribly cute!...i think my favorite is "clauss" the raccoon.
