vintage beauty

so this past sunday i was hanging around with the little one trying to get a nap out of her and while on the rocking chair i caught an episode of antiques roadshow on the BBC. sometimes i feel like i live in a box because how could i have not known about these amazing glass vases i was seeing on the tube. This man had collected about a dozen of these vintage Holmegaard creations dating around the 60's and 70's. Bright blues and eye popping reds, still in perfect condition...lets just say i had to pick my jaw off the floor with that eye candy!
so if you want to do a little research like i did, you can go on ebay and search out "vintage scandinavian glassworks" or even go on holmegaards website and read up on their history, it's quite impressive to say the least!

Check out this awesome collaboration between Kelly of Etcetera Media and Jennifer Hill of JHill Design. these pillows are made in Massachusetts from reclaimed felt originally intended for the under-collar lining of tailor suit jackets. This is the first print in her new series. each print is off set printed and this one measures 16x20 inches. each original illustration is printed on 100% recycled paper with soy based inks. Love these creative uses for these vintage vessels. i never thought about usage old letter labels like that and i have a whole boat load of them from my papa's old 1950's architectural supplies that i have just sitting around the studio. all three and more vintage finds can be found at the sweetshorn etsy shop.
