WIP

owls

So i'm taking a little break from the land birds and have moved over to owls. i really enjoy the different textures and varieties of owls so i wanted to see what i could do to represent that. It's still in the works but maybe this could be a nice print....not sure if i should just make a huge cluster of different owls or to keep it simple with just a few. so feedback would be cool as i continue on.

we are pleased to welcome stone & honey to the Fb family. stone & honey is the latest project from smallthings designer teresa robinson.  this new collection features one of a kind pieces in agate, sterling silver, and our signature delicate metalwork.  crisp geometric design combines with the rough beauty of natural stones for a line that is modern, eye catching, and rich in contrast.  stone&honey has recently expanded the collection with pieces that include quartz crystals, gold, deep oxidized sterling silver, and a variety of other semi precious stones. each piece is handmade in their portland studio. really beautiful stuff!

Wild Things

I thought my excitement was topped off by the fact that the beloved childhood classic, Where The Wild Things Are will be hitting the big screen this October, but i was even more tickled to see these great tribute pieces by artists Cory Godbey and Alberto Cerriteno for the Terrible Yellow Eyes Project. They should illustrate every sceen in the book and publish it as a tribute to maurice sendak... love it!

The future of Type...

...is NOW! Type has always been one of the most flexible elements of design, what can we do with our words?  Showing emotion, and conceptuality through words is a way for us to communicate on a whole different level. As most of us learn in our foundation design curriculum, to show emotion through typography is to almost speak in a different language. These beautiful pieces show us just that and more, Designer Keetra Dean Dixon, brings us into the future of type with her 3d explorations of shape and color. Her portfolio is very impressive and aw inspiring!
