There are endless possibilities when it comes to mixed media art and the best part of it is that it thrives on sustainability. we are all familiar with the beautiful work of lisa congdon (my hero) who brought us up close and personal with this age old art form. There are more and more of these artists coming out of the wood work within the indie community, one to note is lucie summers out of suffolk, uk. Her storybook style illustrations and beautifully put together collages are brilliant. She definitely mixes up the whimsy beautifully within her work.
