new year/new inspirations

I am truly excited to start off my 2008 creative explorations. I love the fact that I don't know whats going to happen this year. All i know is that I'd really like to use this year for a more multidisciplinary approach to design and craft. Once Jay (the husband), Puppy-Kitty, and the rest of our lil' family get moved in and settled at the end of this month, I'll have a nice new space to re-motivate my creative juices... I can't wait.

For the time being i'm going to keep collecting inspiration from whats around me. Speaking of which, I think i'll kick off the new year with someone who I truly respect and look up to....okay to put it bluntly: I adore her work! Lotta Jansdotter has created a truly unique handmade sense of style through her simple organic illustrations and minimalistic style. I was so excited when i saw that etsy had posted alittle studio interview at her new place in Brooklyn. It's a quick tour but very very inspiring and motivating. check it out here.
