Justin Richel's (found through etsy) paintings are awsome! From his studio in Maine, Justin tediously puts together these whimsical concepts of piling and stacking and putting things together harmoniously that wouldn't normally be thought of articulating as such.
I just adore the "sweets" collection, in fact i couldn't decided which one i wanted to pull to highlight because they are all amazing.

I met Justin last spring when he was a fellow at Provincetown Fine Arts Work Center on Cape Cod. My friend Luke was also a fellow, so I got a tour of Justin's studio. These paintings are amazing in person! Crazy detail.
