two very talented women in illustration were just apart of a fabulous show at the compound gallery in portland, or. The first of the two that i find extremely inspiring and proud to be a woman is illustrator amy sol. Amy's beautiful techniques are flawless. i am in love how she uses wood to paint on, the texture of the grain makes her paintings that much more brilliant. The soft colors and flowing strokes make for a very feminine feel.

next we move to the more provocative and bold, but still very feminine and elegant, brandi milne. brandi is multifaceted with her imagination and it shows, i think it's her attention to uniqueness that inspires me the most. my two favorite pieces are these two flowing women figures.
it's almost like they are trying to move around underwater. if you go to her site you can see alot of other pieces with some stylistic differences to them.
now these are some women who know what they are doing!lol
gorgeous paintings, & from my home state. nice. i'm so excited to learn about them!
